TxDot and May ISD
Today was such a mix of emotions. It was overwhelming and hard, but also exciting and full of hope. God is bringing beauty from ashes. He has given us a platform and we will continue to do our best to trust and say yes as He leads. I’m so proud of these two kids who are so brave and shared with a group of about 100 students in 7th-12th grade. The school was absolutely amazing, it was the perfect place to start this journey. While it’s so hard that we are even on this journey we couldn’t have asked for the Lord to orchestrate a better group of people to walk along side us in this. Kristi Harwell and Jill Christie are amazing and so passionate about what they do with TxDot and Srgt Couch with DPS was such an encouragement to us. Thank you to May ISD for allowing us to come share and welcoming us with open arms and hearts. We truly believe that hearts and lives were changed today.
They brought bubbles (because releasing balloons is terrible for the environment and for cattle!) for everyone to enjoy in memory of Aspen. Such a sweet gesture.
#EndTheStreakTX. Did you know that Texas has not seen one day without a roadway fatality since Nov 7th 2000! Help us change these numbers! Stay off your phone, pay attention, buckle up and don’t drive impaired!
