Life after a year

The months following the crash both flew by, but at times also seemed to creep by. The 10th of every month felt like a knife in the heart as we counted down the time until the year anniversary. Getting past that first year mark was huge. There was a weight that came off once we got past all of the moments that the first year held. The first year holds so many unknowns. No one tells you how to navigate this journey. There is no guide on how to live life when a part of you is missing. We know that there will still be many moments in life that are hard and moments we will long to see our girl again, but we made it a year and that is huge!

Life doesn’t stop when trauma and grief hit. So..now what? We are working on starting a 501c3 so that we can continue to share our story. We feel that we have opportunity to change lives and continue to raise awareness. In 2024 we were able to share at 8 events. So far in 2025 we have shared at 10 events and have 7 more scheduled between now and July. Starting a non profit will allow us more opportunities to share, but also allow us to have partners that can support us and pour into this ministry. We plan on having an enclosed trailer built for the car so that it isn’t exposed to the elements. It is currently on an open trailer and the travel, wind, and moisture are really hard on it. We will also need to find a truck to pull the trailer with. As we step into this new season we know that God will guide and connect us with the right partners. If you would like to partner with us once we get the 501c3 up and running please reach out!

While we don’t know exactly what all of this looks like we are excited to continue to take steps of faith into what God has for our family.
