Obedience in the midst of the battle.

It’s been 10 weeks since our world changed.

PTSD or Anxiety-whatever you want to call it-is so very real. I woke up at 4:13 am Sunday morning in panic because I thought I heard someone knocking. It took me a good bit to find my reality and realize nothing was happening and I was ok. I’m thankful for the tools I’ve learned in counseling to help me get back to reality.

Church today was hard and so good. . Levi preached such an anointed sermon about the silence of God. I encourage you to listen to his sermon. Here are a few statements that really stuck out to me.

Jesus’ response to the silence of God was Radical submission to the will of God.

“Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭42‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I don’t know how many times in the last 10 weeks I’ve asked the Lord to take this away, and how many times I’ve sat in silence as He didn’t seem to respond. I pray I can be more like Jesus every day and be willing to be in radical submission to the will of God. YOUR will be done, Lord…not mine.

The other thing he mentioned was a line from the song The Silence of God by Andrew Peterson. It says “The aching may remain, but the breaking does not!” I’m thankful that even in the ache when we feel broken, that we are not Broken!”

Church ended today with the song The Blessing and Levi praying that over the congregation. I was just undone. Missing Aspen but also being able to join with her worshipping Jesus. Now more that even I feel the tension between Heaven and Hell. Satan is desperate to take back ground that we refuse to give him. He thought taking our girl would break us, but it has only made us stronger and more ready for battle.

We are all in the midst of a battle. Some of us may be in a battle and The Lord is silent. That doesn’t mean he isn’t there! He is waiting for us to step in radical obedience. What does this look like for you? What is God calling you to step into with radical submission? Would you join me as we fight to battle for the continued victory of our KING?!? Don’t give Satan a foothold. Stand on the word of the Lord and on HIS PROMISES! I’d love to pray for you as you step into these things. Message or text me. I’d love to pray with you and maybe one day, celebrate with you. Every victory we walk in, no matter what size, should be celebrated and shared so that others around us can be encouraged and strengthened.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭6‬:‭24‬-‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬
