2025-Recap

I tried to take a step back over the Christmas break to rest & recover from a very busy year. We are now in full on planning mode for our fundraiser in April. It is a ton of work, but I know it will be very worth it! We will still continue to travel and share our story as opportunities open up.

I wanted to share all of the things we got to be a part of last year.

  • We spoke at over 18 schools, but some of those had neighboring schools attending as well. We spoke at an event in Lubbock with over 20 schools in attendance.

  • We traveled to Lubbock, Fort Worth, Austin, Lake Worth as well as all over the Big Country.

  • We spoke at 8 civic organizations, community events & churches.

  • We spoke for 7 weeks to the Abilene Police Department at their inservice trainings and to the current Cadet Class. We also got to speak to Dyess AFB Security Forces.

  • In March, we had the opportunity to visit the Texas Capital-House of Representatives, where a memorial resolution was read in Aspen’s honor. (Thank you Stan Lambert and Robyn Wertheim) We then had a chance to hand out flyers around the capital and share our story individually.

  • We handed out over 7,000 bracelets! This is amazing to me.

  • We had several news reports done on our journey over the past (almost) 22 months.

I am just in awe at what God has done over the past year. We have heard stories of how lives have been changed and impacted. Each story carries a weight of knowing that we are right where we are supposed to be. Aspen’s legacy continues, God is moving and generations are being changed forever.

We look forward to 2026 with great expectation. We have big goals & dreams and know God has even more in store as we continue walking this journey in faith.

Thank you to all of the schools & organizations who have allowed us to share our story. Also, thank you to everyone who has supported us financially or through prayer over the past 22 months. We appreciate you all more than we can ever express.
