A heart of compassion

We got a phone call from the DA this morning. The driver turned himself in, but then was able to bond out. Initially I was very angry. I was angry he has more “free time” and worried that he would have the potential to hurt someone else. Thankfully my hubby quickly reminded me that justice isn’t ours and it belongs to The Lord. Satan was doing all he could to take the peace and joy of The Lord from me. I took a moment to lay it all down at the feet of Jesus and ask Him to give me a heart of compassion for this man and continue to trust that God is moving in his life. This isn’t an easy thing to pray, but we want to walk in full forgiveness, compassion, and trust so that we can experience all the Holy Spirit has for us and wants to do through us. We still want justice and know that it will come in time. He made a wrong choice and has to live with the consequences of those choices, but God can still redeem his life and change his family and generations to come.
